It’s not always the season to be merry . . .

Over the years, we’ve been privileged to help thousands of people recover their health, many of whom suffered from anxiety or depression. In fact, one of Stephen’s very first UK clients at the Institute for Advanced Health Research, in 1983, was a young woman suffering from severe clinical depression.

You can read Pamela’s story here – Gas Pipe Blues. Fortunately for Pamela, by finding the actual cause of her depression and dealing with it, she narrowly escaped electroshock ‘therapy,’ gave up her antidepressants and her psychiatrist, and recovered. All by a simple change of something in her environment.

Pamela’s story is a good example of an obvious problem caused by an environmental stress. Since then, we’ve seen thousands of problems being caused by often-easy-to-solve environmental stresses (harmful environmental energies).

But what about when depression isn’t so obvious? Or, when it isn’t necessarily caused by an external stress?Break-Free-from-Depression-300x237

Some of the signs of depression are:

  • Low energy
  • Feeling flat or blank (unable to think with any clarity)
  • Not feeling enthusiastic or seeing the point of doing anything
  • Not wanting to communicate
  • Sleep problems
  • Having problems concentrating on anything
  • Loss of appetite or can’t stop eating
  • Being more irritable, short-tempered or aggressive than usual
  • Seeking drugs – alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, etc. – or food – sugar, grains, fats, etc. – in order to feel better
  • Using passive entertainment – television, films, books, magazines, etc. – to fill your time rather than genuinely being interested in their subjects

Of course, none of the above necessarily mean you are depressed. But if they happen frequently – such as several times a week – there is almost always a depressive component to your ‘normal’ state. Most depression isn’t ‘clinical’ – i.e. it isn’t ‘bad enough’ to end up in a trip to the doctor, so it isn’t diagnosed as depression. And it isn’t resolved. It just goes on and on . .

Millions of people suffer from sub-clinical depression and, in many cases, they don’t know they’re depressed. They’ve lived with it so long, it just seems that’s how they are. They don’t realise they can be happier. Or that they need to be. So they don’t receive any help.

Unfortunately, as the days get shorter in the winter months so access to natural light is reduced, it only gets worse. But it doesn’t have to be this way . . . Continue reading →

‘Common Knowledge’ or Body Energy Awareness?

There are always plenty of myths around, at any given time, about what is or isn’t meant to be good for us (supposedly). For example, many doctors used to advise their patients to smoke cigarettes, avoid eggs, substitute margarine for butter, and to cover themselves with oil-based, ‘skin-protection’ creams before, well, frying themselves for hours in the sun. I imagine some doctors still subscribe to the latter two beliefs. Experts often have difficulty changing their opinions on the basis of new research results.

Anyway, speaking of frying, a friend recently offered us some ‘healthy’ chips (potato crisps), which had been deep-fried in olive oil. Leaving aside the effects of deep-frying anything, we couldn’t help noticing how unusually tasteless they were. Why? Because, being ‘healthy,’ they had no added salt. And, as we all ‘know,’ reducing our salt intake is good for our hearts, isn’t it? Continue reading →

The Energy Egg And ‘Television Stress’

Millions of  us watch television, but how many of us are aware of how much, or in what ways, our energy, physical and psychological, is being affected by our viewing habit? Usually, we only notice something when our reaction is extreme. But when our reactions are below the threshold of our awareness, we remain blissfully ignorant even as the damage to our energy increases over the years.

We’ve received a huge amount of feedback, over the years, about people’s experiences of using the Energy Egg. These two comments, from 2004, are about its use for symptoms triggered by watching television:

White Jade Energy Egg - energy protection device

“I’ve been wanting to give you feedback on the Energy Egg I carry around with me. It’s great! A couple of weeks ago, I showered but then forgot to put it back on me – I was sitting watching TV, when I became aware that I was exhausted – then I realized I was without my Energy Egg. I couldn’t get my head right until the next morning; it was horrible. So, needless to say, I am . . . appreciating it daily.” Linda H, UK

“Tuesday evening, I sat and watched television for about an hour: the first time for weeks – no problem, no sweating, nothing; it was great. Wednesday evening, I forgot about the Energy Egg; after about 1o minutes I had to go out of the room – the sweat was pouring off me. So from now on I’ll carry the Energy Egg in my pocket.” Margaret T, Wales

The kind of energetic damage from electronic equipment that causes extreme sweating, disorientation, fatigue or dizziness, is called a “6th chakra fracture” – because it’s a tiny break or tear in the surface of that energy organ, at the center of your forehead. The 6th chakra controls the frontal lobes of the brain and the autonomic nervous system. 6th chakra damage can also manifest as insomnia, depression, anxiety, headaches, skin problems, relationship problems, allergies or sudden changes of mood.

As we are often asked how the Energy Egg works, we’ve written a number of articles on this subject over the last five years. However, one difficulty with describing the Energy Egg effect is that of avoiding a lot of technical jargon – such as names of different forms of qi, areas of the energy body, environmental stress terms, and so on – which can get confusing when delivered in one big chunk.

Therefore, I’m going to write about the Energy Egg in a short series of blogs covering some of its inner workings and functionality. This introduction focuses on how all people are affected by a wide range of environmental energies.
